Check us out. You’ll be glad you did!

The Hawaiʻi Wushu Center was established on February 6, 1995 by Henry (Chip) Ellis and Larry Prado to foster Chinese Martial Arts (Wushu) and related Chinese culture and arts.  We are a nonprofit corporation and are recognized by the US federal government as a nonprofit corporation under section 501 (c) (3).  Our federal tax ID number is 99-0317984.

We are dedicated to meeting the needs of our communities by sharing the skills and traditions of Chinese wushu. We offer ongoing programs (weekday evenings and weekends) to meet the needs of a variety of adolescent and elderly adult. Our board, staff, and advisors have spent many years and thousands of their own dollars in planning and starting up this effort. We have decades of experience managing profit and non-profit organizations, teaching youth and adults and working with Hawaiʻi’s communities.

The mission of our Center is to improve the health of people by integrating and strengthening the connections of their bodies with their minds and spirits by providing information, education and training about Wushu (Chinese internal and external martial arts) and related culture.
