Larry Prado

Mr. Prado has more than 45 years of practice in the Internal Martial Arts.  In 1968, he began his training of Taijiquan, Baguazhang, Xing Yi Quan (Hsing Yi) and Qi Gong with Tze Yau Pang and later Taijiquan with Zeng Chen Dong.  After years being an Eagle Claw disciple of Jun Wai Kam, Mr. Prado was certified on December 19, 2004, as a Master of Eagle Claw Chin Na (Qin Na).  He has continued his training in Baguazhang, Qi Gong, Taijiquan and Xing Yi Quan (Hsing Yi) with Zhang Xiu, Wang Shangzhi and Wu Dong.  In 2016, at the First International Hawaiʻi Wushu Tournament & Exhibition, Mr. Prado was awarded the Internal Grand Champion for age 56+.

Chip Ellis

Mr. Ellis has over 40 years experience teaching Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) and Baguazhang in Hawaiʻi and California.  He began his studies in both arts in 1974 with Tze Yau Pang.  He then became a Taijiquan student of Tung Hu Ling.  In 1990 he became the first American to be accepted as a disciple of Tung Hu Ling’s son, Dong Zeng Chen and has been taught all aspects of Yang style and Dong style Taijiquan.  He continues his study of Baguazhang with Xiu Zhang and Wang Shangzhi.  Mr. Ellis founded the Hawaii Wushu Center in 1995.

The mission of our Center is to improve the health of people by integrating and strengthening the connections of their bodies with their minds and spirits by providing information, education and training about Wushu (Chinese internal and external martial arts) and related culture.
